Test Format: DAS ELISA
Reactivity: This test system reacted with all virus isolates tested. Reaction of the ELISA is super strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 2.600 - >3.000 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is very high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:2430.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy orchid plant tissues. Background is very low on the negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect CymRSV in infected orchid plants.

It is important to test CymRSV regularly to prevent the possible spread of this virus in orchids, although it is currently considered to be a minor viral problem.
